REACH Zulassung (Authorisation): Positive Stellungnahmen für Dow und Mitglieder des EDC Authorisation consortiums für Verwendungen von 1,2-Dichlorethan

ECHAs Komitees für Risikobewertung (RAC) und sozioökonomische Analyse (SEAC) haben kürzlich ihre abschließenden Stellungnahmen zu den industriellen Verwendungen von 1,2-Dichlorethan (EDC) durch Dow-Firmen (Dow Italia S.R.L und Dow France SAS) als „sulphonation swelling agent of polystyrene-divinylbenzene copolymer beads in the production of strong acid cation exchange resins“ abgegeben. Darin stimmten sie der Zulassung zu und empfahlen eine Review-Periode von 12 Jahren. FoBiG zusammen mit ihren Partnern im Bereich der REACH-Zulassung, RPA Ltd., waren für die Erarbeitung der Zulassungsdossiers für Dow und andere EDCAC-Mitglieder (EDC Authorisation consortium) verantwortlich.

Mieke Diebold, verantwortliche EHS Product Steward Managerin bei Dow Chemical Company, erklärte: „Dow is very pleased with the outcome of the ECHA opinion” und „the cooperation and communication with both FoBiG and RPA was professional, efficient and all time corridors were met”. Im Rückblick auf die gemeinsame Arbeit am Zulassungsantrag führte Frau Diebold weiter aus: „both RPA and FoBiG are committed to get the job well done. They have the required background knowledge and are always ready to assist, both during the dossier creation and the communications with ECHA after the submission. Throughout the process, RPA and FoBiG were reliable and experienced partners. I can highly recommend them!”
