Background information on the use of creosote in wood preservatives and possible alternatives is online

In Germany, the use of wood preservatives containing creosote requires an authorisation since 1st of May 2013. In 2013, FoBiG analysed the current uses of these preservatives and possible alternatives in a research project on behalf of the German Federal Environmental Agency. The project report is available now (in German and English abstract).
